Our son lives in Breckenridge so every time we go to visit, we try to find one or two new things to do. We had talked about doing a walking tour last time we were there, so I looked for one this time and found a couple of options for evening tours. The Breckenridge Ghost Guides appears to be one of two local companies, and the third is a national tour company. We always try to support small, local businesses when we can, especially in the mountain towns where we know things are expensive when you live or visit there. After researching the options, we settled on this one, and it just so happened to be the cheapest option. Our tour guide made the entire experience so much more fun than we expected. He was very knowledgeable and great at going off script to add things in when guests would ask but got right back on topic to keep the history and haunting stories coming. We didn’t have our grandson with us for this trip but will do the tour again with him. It was great information but presented in a manner that is pretty family-friendly, and we don’t think it would be too scary for him as a 10-year-old. We talked about it so much after the tour; I think we convinced our son who lives there to go do the tour in the next couple of weeks with some of his friends and their kids.
