Honoring the Legacy of Bruce
It is with deep sadness that we share the loss of our friend, mentor, and steadfast champion of our business community, Bruce. While he was a passionate advocate for local businesses, Bruce's impact reached far beyond the business community—he was a champion for all of Summit County.
In 2024, Bruce was honored with the Ben Fogle Chamber Champion Award in recognition of his longstanding support of the Summit Chamber’s mission and his unwavering commitment to our business community. Through his selfless volunteerism, dedicated leadership, and generous spirit, Bruce played an instrumental role in fostering growth, collaboration, and connection throughout Summit County.
But Bruce’s contributions extended well beyond the Chamber. He was a true fixture in our community—the warm smile and welcoming hug waiting for you at nearly every event. He was the person people turned to for advice, encouragement, and support. In fact, it’s hard to think of a meaningful community gathering where you didn’t see Bruce and his wife, Donna, sharing their time, energy, and kindness with others.
Bruce embodied warmth, generosity, and a genuine care for those around him. He loved this community and the people in it as though we were all family. His ability to make others feel seen, valued, and supported was a gift that touched countless lives.
Bruce’s influence will continue to be felt for years to come through the relationships he built, the lives he touched, and the community he helped strengthen. Summit County is better because of Bruce, and we can all honor his legacy by striving to share the same kindness, compassion, and spirit of service that he showed every day.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
