Program Highlights

• Available for purchase all season.
• Unlike Individual passes, the merchant pass belongs to the business, and may be transferred one time, from one employee to another employee of the same business, for $115 per transfer.

Pass Information

• Merchant Epic & Merchant Epic Local passes will have the following holiday restriction dates November 28-29, December 26-31, January 17 and February 14-15.
• Both pass types come with 6 Epic Friend discount tickets.

How to Qualify

• The merchant must be in good standing with Breckenridge Tourism Office or a member of the Summit Chamber. All merchant pass information is distributed through the Breckenridge Tourism Office or Summit Chamber.

Purchasing a Merchant Pass

• Merchants must read program policies thoroughly, then complete the electronic application via the link provided to you
• Merchants will be notified, via email, when approved, please allow 7 business days for approval.
• Reminder, merchants must visit a ticket office to purchase vouchers to give to their employees. These vouchers will take the place of charging each individual business as the employee visits the ticket office.
• Please purchase the number of vouchers you anticipate utilizing for the season. Refunds of vouchers, later described, will be available but might incur a $15 per voucher administration fee. 
• Employees will visit the ticket office with the following:

1. A prepaid voucher AND paystub dated within 1 month OR
2. proof of employment, form C.

Transferring a Merchant Pass

• Each pass may be transferred one time to another employee working for the same business, for a fee of $115.
• The recipient of the transferred pass must visit a ticket office with a completed and signed Form C, a paystub and physical credit card are required at time of transfer
• A pass can only be transferred to the exact same pass, e.g. Epic Local to Epic Local. No upgrades available.

Pass Holder Refunds

Refunding an individual’s previously purchased season pass, who is now eligible for a Merchant Pass, follows this timeline:

• 100% refunded if request for refund is prior to December 31, 2025.
• 50% refunded from January 1, 2026, through March 15, 2026.
• No refund after March 15, 2026.

Merchant Pass Refunds

• All applicable refunds will be given to the merchant, not the passholder.
• If there is a medical injury and the pass is unused, Vail Resorts can refund 100% or transfer that pass to another employee within the same business.
• All unused vouchers can be returned for full refunds no later than 4/20/2026. Vail Resorts cannot offer refunds after that date.
• Please be advised: A $15 processing fee per voucher may apply for refunds if it is determined that a business has purchased a substantially higher quantity of vouchers than redeemed.
