We had a slow water leak develop in an interior wall that went undetected for some time. By the time we discovered the leak we had soaked carpet in two rooms and wet drywall in three. Kinder Restoration was recommended to us by our plumber (Mountain Goat Mechanical). Kinder actually answered my first phone call (a rarity in Summit County) and within an hour was on-site with a crew and the necessary equipment to begin the drying-out process. They initially surveyed the extent of moisture migration to define the removal of carpet and drywall. Within two hours of arrival Kinder Restoration had removed room furniture as needed, pulled back necessary carpet and pad, demo'd wet drywall, placed drying and dehumidification equipment and completely removed all debris. Mold was found in numerous places in drywall and on wood framing and Kinder applied mold control and mitigation agents on the framing as necessary. They also tested as required by regulation for the presence/absence of asbestos in the drywall prior to disposal of waste materials. After their initial response, Kinder representatives performed daily checks to verify drying to target levels, applied additional mold control agents as appropriate and are currently coordinating the reconstruction process to restore our home to full use. Throughout the job, I felt that they were sensitive to cost management. I can't speak highly enough of Kinder Restoration's response and work. Discovery of damage to the extent we had is stressful! Throughout the initial response they were calming and gave us a sense of confidence the job would be done well. They were thorough in protecting our home throughout the work. Staff was very proficient; they got the work done promptly and in my observation most efficiently. The team leaders coordinated well with us and were consistently courteous in their interactions with us. Top notch people!
