Keeping Summit County Healthy, Housed, & Hopeful

FIRC works with local families to create stability, health, and resilience. Our programs are rooted in compassion, equity, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to stay and succeed in Summit County.

- Community Health: Our team helps community members access, enroll in, and understand health coverage through our partners—and navigate complicated medical bills.

- Food Access: Fresh, free, & open to everyone—healthy food for all. FIRC operates weekly free food markets in Breckenridge and Dillon. We offer nutritious, fresh produce, meat, eggs, and pantry staples in a welcoming setting where the client gets to choose the food they receive each week. No ID or income limits required—everyone is welcome here.

-Financial Empowerment: Providing tools & support for a more secure future. FIRC helps individuals and families overcome and navigate financial challenges commonly faced in Summit County. Case-managers provide personalized goal-setting and community resource navigation.

- Peer Support: Here to walk alongside you—every step of the way. FIRC’s Peer Support team helps individuals strengthen their emotional well-being through trusted, community-based mentors. Participants build a sense of belonging, reduce isolation, and learn simple, effective ways to care for themselves and manage stress. We also offer a year-long, in-home parenting education program that provides personalized support and resources for families with young children.
