What is the Diplomat to Members Connection?

Diplomat connections with members enable the Chamber to effectively achieve its primary goal: to be the single collective voice of the local business community and to advance the directives of its members.

The Chamber wants your feedback on a continual basis. Diplomats are key to making this happen. Diplomats become a very important link in our communications chain. They collect valuable feedback from members and provide timely reports to Chamber leadership.

What is the Goal of the Diplomat Program?

The Diplomat program seeks to connect new members with existing members to instantly grow both members network.

Why should I join the Diplomat Program?

Joining the Diplomat program is a way to instantly grow your network and create close connections to new businesses entering the community. Diplomats naturally become very familiar with the Chamber mission and goals and often seek Board representation after serving as a Diplomat.

Meet the Diplomats

Elizabeth 'EBeth' Miller, Effectv

Elizabeth ‘Ebeth’ Miller moved from Washington, DC to Summit County in the winter of 1999/2000, and quickly fell in love with the Rocky Mountains and their outdoor lifestyle. Over the last 20 years, Ebeth has worked in various sectors of media, from local radio to video production, and recently joined the team at Effectv (the advertising division of Comcast), helping local and regional business design and execute effective video marketing campaigns.  When not working with clients and videographers, she is most likely skiing, mountain biking, trail running or playing with her 9-year-old son Jarle (pron. Yarley) and their 1-year old rescue mutt Zora.

Gwen Ballard, Hillstar Management

Gwen joined the Summit Chamber in 2019 after learning about the amazing support the group provides to Summit County businesses and a desire to give back to the Community though a cause that she's passionate about – Local Business!

​Gwen started her career in Community Association and Property Management after obtaining a degree in Finance and Real Estate from Colorado State University. Her career spans more than 20-years. Gwen relocated to Summit County in 2016 from Northern Colorado after falling in love with all the activities Summit County has to offer. Gwen has managed communities all over the state, and Summit County is special, with very specific needs.

Gwen's focus is on building relationships within the community in order to provide clients with the resources necessary to maintain and enhance property values and build a sense of community. HillStar was formed on the basic principles of accountability, integrity, transparency and collaboration. Community and Property Management are Gwen's passions.

Jackie Christiansen, Starting Hearts

Jackie Christiansen is the Operations Director for Starting Hearts and the Summit County Executive Director.  She has been a resident of Dillon since 2007 where she and her husband have raised three children in the school system. Jackie has a background in international business, and is a certified nutritionist and personal trainer.
